My Two Cents
This is a powerful CPU. As you don’t change your CPU often, you need to invest in the right one. I would highly recommend this future-proof processor if you are an AMD fan. I am more of an intel fan, but to be honest, after reviewing the AMD processor, I am also inclining towards them. This processor has only one slight drawback that it does not have a built-in cooling system.
Intel Core i5-10600K- Value For Money
This is the third CPU on my list for RTX 3060 TI. It is an excellent option for those who want to have value for money.
This CPU has six cores and twelve threads for good multitasking. The base frequency of this processor is 4.10 gigahertz that can reach up to 4.8 gigahertz. For Caching intel offers 12 MB of smart cache. The bus speed of this processor is similar to i7-10700K that is 8 GT/sec. The TDP of this processor is 125 watts.
If we look at its memory specifications, it offers 128 GB of maximum memory. It offers DDR4 memory types with a speed of 2666 MHZ. The max memory channels are 2, and the maximum memory bandwidth you can get is 41.6 GB per second. The CPU has no ECC memory.

Let’s see what it lacks. It has no integrated CPU cooler. Despite being less potent than many other processors, it consumers more power of 125 watts. The processor also lacks PCIe 4.0. These all the drawbacks you have to bear with this processor. Nothing serious! But shortcomings are shortcomings.
Things I liked
✅ Value for money
✅ Integrated Graphics
Things I disliked
❌ No CPU cooler
❌ No PCIe 4.0
My Two cents
If you are looking for an under $300 processor to pair with RTX 3060 Ti or even 3060, then intel core i5-10600k is your answer. It certainly a budget-friendly option that offers value for the money. You can overclock it, and moreover, you can also take advantage of its built-in graphics card. The only reason you can avoid because of its inability to support the PCIe 4.0.
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X- Best for Budget Build
Again if you are an AMD fan and want to have an AMD CPU instead of Intel Core i5-10600K, then Ryzen 5 5600x is your best bet. Yes, it is an older CPU, but it is still going hot in 2021 as well. So, those who want to have a budget-friendly yet powerful CPU to pair with RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 RTI should opt for this.
This is a 6 cores CPU with 12 threads. Multitasking on this CPU is also a breeze. And for gaming, it justifies its price. So, I think Ryzen 5 5600x really outdid itself in every department. The base clock speed of this processor is 3.7 GHz that can be boosted to 4.6 GHz thanks to its being unlocked and overclocking options. I should mention that it is an AM4 socket CPU so, choose your motherboard accordingly.
This processor has PCIe 4.0. IF we compare it with intel core i5-10600k with no PCIe 4.0, then I think Ryzen 5 beats the i5-10600k quite comfortably. Also, it is better than i5-10600k in the department of cooling. This processor has a built-in wraith cooling system. Moreover, it has a lower TDP than i5-10600k as it has a TDP of only 65 watts.
The system memory type is DDR4, and the max speed you can get is 3200 MHZ. Moreover, the CPU is built on AMD zen 3 structure. If that is not enough for you, you will be glad to know that you can do VR gaming and this processor as it has an AMD VR-ready premium.
Like me, you will be surprised to know that the only thing it lacks is an integrated graphics card. Otherwise, I found no drawbacks in this processor. It indeed gives you a better experience than the intel i5-10600k
Things I liked
✅ Built-in cooling System
✅ Vr Ready
Things I disliked
❌ No built-in graphics
My two cents
This CPU truly surprised me. It is still going hot in 2021. Despite being budget-friendly, it has more features than the intel core i5-10600k. The cooling system and low TDP make it more desirable for gamers. Moreover, it is unlocked and overclockable certainly, I was not expecting this much in this price.
Additionally, this processor supports VR gaming and videos. What else remains, I think nothing. I would highly recommend you grab this processor if you are looking to build a budget-friendly system.
